Stable Masters for Windows

Click on the appropriate icon for your language version of Stable Masters to download an executable that will update your version to the very latest (a list of common bug fixes can be viewed at the support section of the site or all changes can be viewed at the improvements section of this page. These are also documented in the readme.txt file included with the update). This patch will update to version 5.25. If you have previously used a patch on your version of Stable Masters, you will have to uninstall and then re-install the game before applying the patch. Instructions for installation are in the readme.txt file supplied with the update. They can also be viewed in the installation instructions section of this page.

Improvements and bug fixes

The improvements are as follows:

• Pan option now available in race sequence (using left/right arrow keys). This allows the user to view the whole race field during the race.
• Auction count out speed increased.
• Auction trainer bidding improved.
• Minor improvements to in-race jockey AI.
• Misc math improvements.
• Race times realism improvements.
• Sound on/off option now is much clearer.
• Menu changes made in some places to make things easier to use.
• Combobox code, rewritten to implement scrollbars and increase ease of use.
• Increased end of race horse 'behaviour' models.
• Improvements to jockey AI concerning sprint races.
• Improved in race Jockey tactics (skill based) AI.
• Misc race model tweaks.
• Individual horse form pattern resolution increased.

The bug fixes are as follows:

• Injured horses deteriation bug fixed.
• CDG reported wrongly for 2 mile winners fixed.
• Two race courses missing from calendar fixed.
• Anim timing bug during race sequence fixed.
• Minor auction bugs fixed.
• Owned horse SPEED parameter reported wrongly; fixed.
• Auction player increment bid bug fixed.
• Save game crash bug, fixed.
• 5f Horse records bug, fixed.
• Horse name errors fixed.
• Minor bug related to horse acceleration fixed.
• Minor horse tactic/attitude fix.

Installation Instructions

Download the zip file and extract into the folder Stable Masters was entailed to (overwriting files when prompted).

In the event of the patch failing, uninstall Stable Masters and completely remove the folder called Stable Masters that may still be existing in the install directory, then finally re-install and execute the patch.
